The Few and the Many (Hobbs/Johannes) Masquerade Man I thought I had this figured out But in the final days Yeah there’s something in the air tonight Wars arise The earth groans life due ending Life’s due end Yet we live like we don’t care Like a thief in the night He’ll come to finish what he started We can bet on it White washed tombs We wear a cross and warm the pews But with a kiss We betray him with our hearts Hypocrite The day is here the hour is nigh This last warning To fess up and repent God’s Hand has lifted now All hell’s about to break loose We can bet on it There are the few and the many Who will be counted with the few at His side We face this ending face this together Lets stand up and defend Him Its my life no more Your Blood You laid Yours down for me I lay mine down for You There are the few and the many Who will be counted with the few at His side We face this ending face this together Lets stand up and defend Him…..

The Awakening (Hobbs/Williams) Open your mind It’s not too hard when the third eye is truly aligned Open your mind to the possibilities and what you will find will surely define The rest of your life on this blue speck of dust When we all learn to trust ourselves The aura of guilt and misery and confusion will melt Revealing a world where we can all learn to fly Open your mind invite Ramifications and sensations inside your mind Fused to an idealist dream of contagions Through all nations together merged deeply with love Completely ignored By the bored and agoraphobic imbeciles one hand on their throbbing heart one hand on the games they've yet to start. Its crazed outrageous to think These days are engaged In a haze Of demented and depraved and enslaved Individuals with a schedule policed by fear of your neighbour No need for reflection, with a fostered suspicion on those who live their own lives Faith in the saviour, its too late to save ya its too late for us, the time has come Open your mind Its not too hard when the third eye is truly aligned….. Open your mind Its not too hard when the third eye is truly aligned…..

I Am (Hobbs/Rerekura) I’m not sure exactly what it is It’s been gone a long time My time has come so walk away I’ll never stop till I can say I’m falling away My heart is still chasing you And all I am I’ll know I’ll finally be with you I’m not sure exactly where I’ve been Cos I’ve been gone a long time My time has come now walk away I’ll never stop till I can say I’m falling away My heart is still chasing you And all I am I’ll know I’ll finally be with you Free all your love Will break this sound Never hear I’m falling away My heart is still chasing you And all I am I’ll know I’ll finally be with you I’m falling away My heart is still chasing you And all I am I’ll know I’ll finally be with you I am still falling down…….

Your Silence 06:31
Your Silence (Hobbs/Johannes) Analyze this inside our minds Our demise is our beginning With a lie we straddle time Thinking our lives aren’t ending And in this filthy state This state of apathy We find another way On our dying day we fall away Been living with this flavour While the silent pray others take Their lives into their hands I don’t understand But in this sinking there’s meaning I don’t understand And in this meaning those nails are piercing me Fitting in tight we gotta love Gotta love this charade we’re playing What about love and Him dying We refuse to look and deny Him And in this empty place This place of unbelief We find another way On our dying day we fall away Been living with this flavour While the silent pray others take Their lives into their hands I don’t understand But in this sinking there’s meaning I don’t understand And in this meaning those nails are piercing I don’t understand Coz I cant see you but I know you I don’t understand Coz I cant feel you but I trust you If I ever needed someone its now Your silence it beckons me as you break me down again I don’t understand But in this sinking there’s meaning I don’t understand And in this meaning those nails are piercing I don’t understand But in this sinking there’s meaning I don’t understand And in this meaning those nails are piercing I don’t understand Coz I cant see you but I know you I don’t understand Coz I cant feel you but I trust you I don’t understand Coz I cant see you I don’t understand Coz I cant feel you In Your light I pray you’ll wake me here And I know your eyes are searching me

Lay 05:01
Lay (Hobbs/Rerekura) Something in the way you are So alone feel so cold It’s all I know its all inside…. Living my life for your fashion way Living my life for your fascist way I don’t like you anymore It’s all I know its all inside us all See out my way of ganging up on innocence with you Get out my way cause today is just a toy Lay on the line lay by my side I wont deny I’ve forgot what’s true Lay on the line lay by my side I won’t deny I’ve forgot what’s true Buried by dreams stacked on top of my debt still keep bringing up the past If I could only start again Wouldn’t know how to begin Its all I know its all inside us all See out my way of ganging up on innocence with you Get out my way cause today is just a toy Lay on the line lay by my side I wont deny I’ve forgot what’s true Lay on the line lay by my side I wont deny I’ve forgot what’s true One face one fear one still alive Lay on the line lay by my side I wont deny I’ve forgot what’s true Lay on the line lay by my side I wont deny I’ve forgot what’s true

Ascension of the Lesser Path (Hobbs/Williams) There was a time when I lived for the empire There was a time when I lived for the empire Darkness starting my trials as a man In scripted tests for a mind meant for magic Meditation, contemplation comfort in my station, ascent from damnation My mentors spoke whispers around me I saw the fear in their eyes Progress unforeseen in their world A barbarian's power unfurls I would wake late at night to strange visions Memories of friendship and love At the reaches of what I remembered My thoughts were unfocused, I honed them For the empire has needs to be met I donned the black robe with a purpose I donned them and I knew I was the greatest among them few could withstand me None would forget Mind twisting magic’s swirled through the world On top of the spire I stood Raising my hands to the skies Spectrums of energies So dark and bright My thoughts were unfocused, I honed them For the empire has needs to be met I donned the black robe with a purpose I donned them and I knew I was the greatest among them few could withstand me None would forget In scripted tests for a mind meant for magic I ascend to the greatest of all I ascend to the greatest of all To the greatest of all

about

Hobbsy is the project of ex Smokin’ Joker bass player Ben Hobbs from Geelong - Australia. Having tasted mild success with Joker (namely supporting Deep Purple and twice touring the US) Hobbs found himself retiring from music when lead singer Cory Hargreaves relocated to Queensland to begin his successful solo career.

As time passed Hobbs felt that itch again. It was an itch that he was never able to scratch within the confines of a more straight ahead rock band. Here he has now branched out with a more powerful and epic approach.

The debut album aptly titled “Risen From The Dead” features collaborations and vocals from long time friends Clint Johannes, Brett Rerekura, Alex Williams and lead guitars from old band mate Andrew Cromwell.

The track "Mannya Jam" features real sounds from the kids from Mannya PS and Mannya Dance group in Mannya Uganda.

All CD cover art provided in print ready.
